ID Theft Prevention Firm LifeLock Agrees to Corrective Measures, $12 Million Fine with FTC

In order to end Federal Trade Commission enforcement action, identity theft prevention firm LifeLock Inc. agreed to take more stringent measures to safeguard the personal and financial information collected from its customers, under a federal court proposed stipulated judgment filed March 9 (FTC v. LifeLock Inc., D. Ariz., No. 2:10-cv-530-NVW, proposed stipulated judgment filed 3/9/10).
