Senate Bill Could Reduce Oil Imports While Driving Growth in Renewable Energy

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Draft Senate climate legislation could reduce U.S. reliance on foreign oil imports significantly while spurring renewable energy development and potentially reducing household energy costs, according to an assessment from the Peterson Institute for International Economics released May 20.
